Broadly distributed south of the Great Dividing Range in coastal and central VIC (excluding the endorheic Corangamite Lakes catchment) from north of Leongatha (38°16'S, 146°01'E) to Cape Otway (38°48'S, 143° 33'E), absent from the Little River system, coastal streams of the Otway Ranges and coastal sections of larger river systems, also at one location in the upper Goulburn River system, north of the Great Dividing Range; temperate
