Biocode Search

In the Australian fauna, some groups have been given Biocodes, such as the Census of Australian Vertebrate Species (CAVS) for Amphibia, Aves, Mammalia (Eutheria, Marsupialia, Prototheria) and Reptilia and Codes for Australian Aquatic Biota (CAAB) for aquatic organisms.

All fields are optional (although you must specify at least one). The search is performed against all fields that you specify.

Specifying any combination of group, family, genus, subgenus, species or subspecies finds all taxa within matching groups.

Specifying a scientific name finds individual taxa matching that name.

Fields accept wildcards '%' which will match any number of characters in that field.
