- Galaxias parvus Frankenberg, R.S. 1968. Two new species of galaxiid fishes from the Lake Pedder region of southern Tasmania. The Australian Zoologist 14(3): 268-274 pls 14-15 [270, pl. 15].
Type data:
Holotype TMH D.940, Pond on the east bank of Lake Pedder, about 400 yards south of the stream entering Lake Pedder from Lake Maria, southern TAS.
Paratype(s) NMV A392-400 (9), collected with Holotype; NMV A401-407 (7) (cleared & stained), collected with Holotype; NMV 10370 (3) (Frankenberg (1968) stated that only two fish were collected from the second locality, north of the type locality, yet there are 3 specimens in the jar.), Lake Pedder near the mouth of an inflowing stream about 400 yards north of the type locality.
Comment: Type locality flooded following impoundment of Lake Pedder.
