Introduction
The species is very similar to and often confused with Tetractenos hamiltoni. Records of T. hamiltoni were often misidentifications of T. glaber prior to 1983.

Moreton Bay, QLD (27°02'S) to Port Lincoln, SA (135°52'E) and throughout TAS; temperate.
