Comment: The type locality was erroneously given in Cuvier, 1829 as 'northern Bay of Biscay, eastern Atlantic' but corrected to 'Grand Océan oriental' (localities of Indian Ocean, Java, Moluccas and Tahiti) in Cuvier & Valenciennes 1829.Type locality references:
