Introduction
Occurrence of this species in Australia is based on recently re-identified specimens of P. oualensis in the Australian Museum (Koeda et al. 2014). The record of P. vanicolensis from northern Australia in Kuiter (1996) may represent this species. Taylor (1964) recorded P. adusta from the Northern Territory however Larson et al. (2013) treat this species as a junior synonym of P. schwenkii (see Mooi 2000). We follow Koeda et al. (2013, 2014) and Eschmeyer (2014) in treating P. adusta as valid. Randall et al. (2014) questioned the usage of the name by Koeda et al. (2014), but provided little information on identification of material relevant to Australia. Tentatively we retain the name here. Information on the holotype is provided by Mooi & Randall (2014).
