Type data:
Holotype BSKU lost (Neotype BSKU 9592 designated by Kamohara, T. 1961. Notes on the type specimens of fishes in my laboratory. Report of the USA Marine Biological Station 8(2): 1-9 pls 1-7 [7, pl.5 (fig.1)], but designation is invalid as it did not meet criteria set by International Commission of Zoological Nomenclature), Mimase, Kochi Prefecture, Japan.
