A new species of mesopelagic fish of the family Melanostomiatidae — Eustomias multifilis from southwestern Australia and new observations on E. trewavassae, E. lipochirus and E. bulbornatus from South Africa. Type data:
Holotype ZIL 42661 (Depth 1000m), Southeastern Indian Ocean, off south-west Australia [33°34´S, 112°53´E].
