Ecological Descriptors
Adult: diurnal, herbivore (associated flora: Leptospermum flavescens Sm. [MYRTACEAE] Tantoon (on flowers); Leptospermum spp. [MYRTACEAE] Tea-trees (on flowers)), volant.
Larva: wood-borer (associated flora: Acacia longifolia (Andrews) Willd. [FABACEAE] Sydney Golden Wattle).
Extra Ecological Information
Hawkeswood (1978) listed this species from Leptospermum flavescens; Hawkeswood & Peterson (1982) repeated the record of Froggatt (1895) for this species breeding in dead branches of Acacia longifolia; Cowie (2001) listed C. pauperula and C. tasmanica from Acacia dealbata.
