Adult: diurnal, herbivore (associated flora: Dillwynia retorta (J.C.Wendl.) Druce [FABACEAE] Heathy Parrot Pea; Dillwynia floribunda Sm. [FABACEAE] Parrot Pea; Acacia longifolia (Andrews) Willd. [FABACEAE] Sydney Golden Wattle; Leptospermum flavescens Sm. [MYRTACEAE] Tantoon; Dillwynia sp. [FABACEAE]; Phyllota grandiflora Benth. [FABACEAE]; Pultenaea spp. [FABACEAE]; Oxylobium sp. [FABACEAE] (on foliage); Acacia obtusifolia A.Cunn. [FABACEAE] Blunt leaf Wattle; Jacksonia scoparia R.Br. ex Sm. [FABACEAE] Dogwood; Viminaria juncea (Schrad. & J.C.Wendl.) Hoffmanns. Extra Ecological Information

Hawkeswood (1978) listed this species from Acacia longiflora and Jacksonia scoparia; Williams & Williams (1983) recorded this species from Acacia obtusifolia (Mimosaceae), Dillwynia floribunda, D. retorta, J. scoparia, Phyllota grandiflora, P. phylicoides and Viminaria juncea (Fabaceae); Hawkeswood & Peterson (1982) cited Froggatt (1892) who recorded this species breeding in root galls of Dillwynia retorta; Hawkeswood (1993) summarized the biology of this species; Cowie (2001) listed this species from Pultenaea and Dillwynia spp.
