Adult: diurnal, herbivore (associated flora: Acacia obtusifolia A.Cunn. [FABACEAE] Blunt leaf Wattle; Jacksonia scoparia R.Br. ex Sm. [FABACEAE] Dogwood; Viminaria juncea (Schrad. & J.C.Wendl.) Hoffmanns. [FABACEAE] Golden Spray; Phyllota phylicoides (Sieber ex DC.) Benth. [FABACEAE] Heath Phyllota; Dillwynia retorta (J.C.Wendl.) Druce [FABACEAE] Heathy Parrot Pea; Dillwynia floribunda Sm. Extra Ecological Information

Hawkeswood (1978) listed this species from Acacia longiflora and Jacksonia scoparia; Williams & Williams (1983) recorded this species from Acacia obtusifolia (Mimosaceae), Dillwynia floribunda, D. retorta, J. scoparia, Phyllota grandiflora, P. phylicoides and Viminaria juncea (Fabaceae); Hawkeswood & Peterson (1982) cited Froggatt (1892) who recorded this species breeding in root galls of Dillwynia retorta; Hawkeswood (1993) summarized the biology of this species; Cowie (2001) listed this species from Pultenaea and Dillwynia spp.
