- Aspasmogaster liorhynchus Briggs, J.C. 1955. A monograph of the clingfishes (order Xenopterygii). Stanford Ichthyological Bulletin 6: 1-224 figs 1-114 [51] [derivation is from the Greek leios = smooth + rhynchos = snout, transliterated to a masculine noun].
