Introduction

Ma & Craig (2018) placed this species in the genus Hyporthodus based on genetic studies. Tentatively we retain it here.

New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia


Extra Distribution Information

Dampier, WA (19º28'S, 116º31'E), and east of Peaked Island, QLD (22º39'S) to off Newcastle, NSW (32º52'S); tropical, north-west Pacific (Japan, Korea and China).
