Introduction
There is some confusion over the correct name for this species. Matsuura (2001) regarded Tetrosomus concatenatus as a synonym of Lacrophrys triqueter from the Atlantic. However, other workers (e.g. Randall et al. 1990) apparently regarded the type locality as incorrect and regarded Tetrosomus reipublicae as a junior synonym of Tetrosomus concatenatus. Both names are in use and further work may alter the name used here.
