Introduction
Species in this genus have been confused for many years. Many of the species have been misidentified as Pseudocaranx dentex. Smith-Vaniz (2006) revised Australian species, but indicated that the species currently going under this name in Australia may not be conspecific with Pseudocaranx dentex described from South America.
