Introduction

Imamura & Knapp (2009) described the western population of Platycephalus marmoratus as a new species, P. orbitalis, restricting P. marmoratus to the east coast of Australia.

Extra Distribution Information

Off Caloundra, QLD (26º48´S) to Flinders Island, TAS (40º01´S), records of P. marmoratus from WA are of the recently described P. orbitalis Imamura & Knapp 2009; temperate.
