Lectotype BPBM 5001, Kiritimati (as Christmas Island), Line Islands.
Paralectotype(s) whereabouts unknown (Fowler's second specimen was recognised by Markle and Olney (1990) as paralectoype though they have not seen it as it's whereabouts were unknown during their study).Subsequent designation references:
