Houtman Abrolhos Islands (28°53´S, 114°00'E) to Monte Bello Islands (20°28'S, 115°33'), WA, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Indian Ocean, and Mer (Murray) Island, QLD (9°55'S, 144°05'E) to Julian Rocks, NSW (28°38´S), also Elizabeth and Middleton Reefs, possibly continuous across northern Australia; tropical, Indo-west-central Pacific.
