Extra Distribution Information

Northwest Shelf, WA (ca. 19°14'S, 118°48'E) and Cape York, QLD (12°00'S, 143°30'E) to central NSW (32°26'S, 152°32'E) with juveniles as far south as Montague Island, NSW (36°15'S, 150°14'E), rarely collected deeper water species, east coast distribution is tentative, west coast distribution based on trawl samples, most other records based on visual observations or photos; tropical, east-Indo-west Pacific
