   Plectropoma nigrorubrum Cuvier, 1828 by monotypy.
• Ellerkeldia Whitley, G.P. 1927. Studies in Ichthyology No. 1. Records of the Australian Museum 15(5): 289-304 fig. 1 pls 24-25 [298] [sometimes treated as a replacement name for Gilbertia, but Whitley 1927 described the genus as gen. nov. and clearly designated a type species, different from that of Gilbertia].
