Wigram Island, NT (136º35'E) and Raine Island, QLD (11º35´S) to Moruya, NSW (35º55´S), also Holmes Reef (16º31'S) and Herald Cay (17º03'S), Coral Sea, and Lord Howe Island; tropical. Recorded from New Guinea by Allen & Erdmann (2012), but considered endemic to Australia by Sasaki & Kimura (2014).
