Dampier Archipelago (20°03'S, 115°50'E) to south of Rowley Shoals (19°02'S, 118°30'E), WA, and off Cairns, QLD (16°55'S) to off Yamba, NSW (29°25'S), possibly to Ashmore Reef, Timor Sea on the west coast; tropical.
