Pt 4. 41-120 pp. [47, 69] (Vailllant named the fish based on Serranus variolosus of Bleeker, without sufficient characters to separate the species, but only to a group; the reference to Bleeker is presumably to his Atlas Volume 7; generally a holotype is recognised, but the name is made available by reference to Bleeker and technically his specimens represent syntypes.).
