Introduction
This is a very widespread and rather variable species across its range. It is distributed from Africa, across the southern Palaearctic and Oriental regions to Australia where it is distributed along the northern and eastern coastal areas from the North Kimberley in Western Australia to the Sydney basin in New South Wales.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
The two Australian species of Dryadomorpha can be differentiated by the thickness of the apical processes of the aedeagus, those of D. metrosideri being evenly narrow throughout while those of D. pallida are slightly swollen at their midlength.
