Miscellaneous Literature Names
- Coelorinchus cf argus [originally called C. cf argus until described as C. thurla. The C. argus recorded in Paxton et al (1989) probably represents the same species but this has not been confirmed].
Introduction
This genus has been incorrectly spelled Caelorinchus by many authors following Eschmeyer (1990) and Sazonov and Iwamoto (1992), however the previous spelling Coelorinchus is now considered to be the correct one (see Iwamoto & Graham 2008).
