Northwest of Port Hedland, WA (18°14'S, 117°54'E) to west of Cartier Reef, Timor Sea (12°32'S, 123°26'E), and east of Cape York (10°30´S, 144°01´E) to north-east of Coolangatta (28°03´S, 154°04'E) QLD, also recorded from Arafura Sea north of Australia so distribution is probably continuous; tropical, west Pacific (Philippines).
