Type data:
Holotype QM ♂ (coll.: B. Cantrell, 14.xi.1969), Cooper Creek, 13 miles N of Daintree River, North Queensland.
Introduction
This pale yellow-brown species is only known from two specimens from the wet tropics in North Queensland. It fits reasonably closely with the definition of Viraktamath's (1998) pruthii species group but it lacks apical or subapical processes on the male aedeagus.

All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Head pale yellow with indistinct transverse brown line across vertex between hind edges of ocelli. Pronotum cream with three small brown spots on each side in transverse line behind eye. Tegmen transparent pale yellow brown with brown infuscation at apex of each claval vein, at apex of clavus and on most crossveins. (Fletcher & Semeraro 2007).
Fletcher & Semeraro (2007) described and figured the male genitalia.
