Currently recorded between Gulf St. Vincent southeast of Edithburgh, SA (35°10'S, 137°55'E) to Rottnest Island, WA (32º00'S, 115°30'E), however original type material (destroyed) from Freycinet Estuary, Shark Bay WA (26°30'S, 113°43'E); temperate.
