Introduction
Craterocephalus centralis was separated from Craterocephalus eyresii by Crowley & Ivantsoff (1990) based on having fixed gene differences at two loci,. However, subsequent studies (Adams et al. 2011) failed to find genetic differences between the species. Tentatively we retain the two species as distinct following Larson et al. (2013).
