- Ariomma lurida Jordan, D.S. & Snyder, J.O. 1904. Notes on the collections of fishes from Oahu Island and Laysan Island, Hawaii, with descriptions of four new species. Proceedings of the United States National Museum 27(1377): 939-948 [939, 942] [derivation appears to be from the Latin luridus = pale yellow, with authors referring to colour as lurid brown, and the genus is neuter, with luridum the correct spelling].
