Holotype ANIC MEI130278 adult ♂ (1-10.xii.1987, malaise trap, M.E. Irwin), NSW: Urila, 25 km S of Queanbeyan [35.55°S, 149.283°E].
Paratype(s) ANIC many adult ♂ & ♀ (held in ANIC, FSCA, GDCB, INHS, UIMNH - the Mike Irwin collection , UQIC & ZMUC), many localities in QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC & TAS.

Diagnosis
Medium-sized species. Prosternal furrow and sternopleuron without pile. Fore femur with several pd macrosetae; hind femur with several av macrosetae. All femora practically blackish. Mesonotum grey-brown, indistinctly striped. Frons raised in profile, with rich pile of uniform length. Frons about 4x width of anterior ocellus in front of this.
