Diagnosis
Medium-sized species. The wider frons, and the predominantly blackish fore femur separate dimidiatus from the other two species of the group. Also, the ventral pile of hind femora is longer than in apertus and kosciuskoensis, and may include setae as long as femoral width. In the male, the broadly rounded epandrial corners and the tapering gonostyles can often be observed without dissection.
