Diagnosis

Medium-sized and very characteristic species, the two sexes being very similar in external characters, and with distinctive genitalia in both sexes. A very broad frons, presence of pile between eyes and antennal sockets, a markedly designed mesonotum, combined with a bare prosternum and densely pilose sternopleuron, are distinctive characters.
