Introduction

This species was described from the Aru Islands in Indonesia by Walker (1870) and from Queensland by Distant (1907) as Z. cydista. Distant did not provide a more specific type locality but the material was collected by F.P. Dodd who did most of his collecting in the wet tropics of North Queensland (Monteith 1991) and it is presumed that the material originated in that region. Muir (1913) added Papua New Guinea to the distribution.
