  • Synaptura craticula McCulloch, A.R. 1916. Ichthyological items. Memoirs of the Queensland Museum 5: 58-69 figs 1-4 pls 7-9 [62, pl.9 (fig.1)] [derivation was not stated, but could be from the Latin adjective craticulus = composed of lattice-work, but also possibly from the Latin noun craticula = grating or girill; where usage is not decisive as in this case, it is to be regarded as a noun under Article 31.2.2 of the Internation Code of Zoological Nomenclature].
