The Australian Zoologist 6(4): 310-334 1 fig. pls 25-27 [313] [based on Ichthyocampus filum described and figured by McCulloch 1909:318, Pl. 90 (fig. 1); derivation apparently from the Latin noun runa = dart or spear].
