Lepidoleprus trachyrincus Risso, 1810 (type species often listed as Trachyrincus anonyme Giorna, 1809, but the species name was not Lazinized and is not available) by subsequent designation, see Jordan, D.S. 1917. The genera of fishes. Part 1. Stanford University Publications, University Series 27: 1-151 [74] (possibly an earlier designation exists).
