Introduction
Kuiter (2009) considered Solegnathus lettiensis Bleeker 1860 to be restricted to Indonesia with Australian records representing S. guentheri Duncker 1915. We retain the name S. lettiensis for Australian records until further work can be done to confirm the identity of these two species.
