Introduction
This medium sized reddish brown species is quite common in eastern Australia. Its distribution is apparently considerably wider than given here. Day (1999) listed localities for the genus Sertorius in New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Northern Territory, Western Australia and Queensland which he said applied "mainly" to this species but he gave no indications which did and which were of other species in the genus.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Nigro-piceus, cornubus abbreviatis, cornu postico sinuato, elytra tangente.
Prothorax ponctué, arrondi antérieurement, légèrement caréné, de chaque côté une dent conique, courte; épine postérieure échancrée à l'écusson et touchant les élytres, égalant à peine l'abdomen, écusson jaune, élytresd'un jaune transparent, nervures brunes, noires à la base. Long 0.007 (Fairmaire 1846).
Pronotum very slightly keeled anteriorly; lateral processes conical, acute, horizontal, very short, very slightly curved backward. Length ♂ ♀, 6.8–8 mm (Evans 1966).
