Introduction

This endemic genus currently includes six species as recognised by Day (1999) but the identities of some of these are unknown. A species level revision of the genus is required. The species are mainly medium to large in size, rich brown to black in colour and bearing only small triangular lateral pronotal processes.

Diagnosis

Venis longitudinalibus duabus interioribus corii ante medium venula transversa conjunctis (Stål 1866).

Medium to large, gibbous, dark compact species. Clypeus broad. Lateral pronotal processes small, acute. Median pronotal process long, almost straight. Pronotal notch wide. Crossvein m–cu1 present or absent. Subcostal cell narrow, of almost uniform width. Cucullate setae between rows distally (Day 1999).

Day (1999) provided a comprehensive redescription of the genus.
