Holotype BPBM 16195 terminal phase male, 68.5 mm SL (15 m depth, 24 July 1973, J. Randall et al.), Alite Reef, Solomon Islands.
Paratype(s) various museums 64: 18.5-81.4 mm SL, various locations Indo-west Pacific.
