Species Pseudojuloides elongatus Ayling & Russell, 1977

Long Green Wrasse, Elongate Wrasse

Introduction

This name was previously applied to similar species from Western Australia and southern Japan. Kuiter (2010) treated the WA and Japanese populations as undescribed species and this was confirmed by the molecular and morphological results presented by Tea et al. (2020) who established that all three populations are separate species.
