Introduction
This is the only subgenus of the genus Pentastiridius to occur in Australia. Kirkaldy (1907) created Nesopompe for two species, O. (N.) felis from eastern Australia and O. (N.) saccharicola Kirkaldy (1907) from Fiji.

Diagnosis
The only Australian species in the genus Pentastiridius can be distinguished from all other Australian Pentastirini by the presence of platellae on the first and second hind tarsomere.
