Species Pempheris oualensis Cuvier, 1831

Oualan Bullseye, Cave Sweeper, Cooper Sweeper, Keeled Sweeper

Introduction

Following recent work by Koeda et al. (2014) which re-identified many specimens of P. oualensis as P. adusta, the distribution of this species is uncertain. The genus requires a complete revision to properly determine the distribution of P. oualensis. The distribution presented here is based on previous records of the species and may not be accurate.
