Introduction

This small brown species with its distinctive longitudinal pale stripe along the tegmen is only known from Barrow Island, Western Australia.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

This species is easily recognisable because of its small size and distinctive colouration, particularly the irregular pale stripe along the tegmen. The species is well supported by COI sequence data. The specimens currently available are
semimacropterous, a feature otherwise not found in species of Orosius (Fletcher et al. 2016).
