Ocyropsis maculata with large diffuse yellow-brown to brownish black spots on inner surfaces of oral lobes

Mayer, A.G. 1912. Ctenophores of the Atlantic coast of North America. Publication of the Carnegie Institution of Washington 162: 1-58 (in list of synomyns for O. cyropsis maculata Mayer attributes the name maculata to Lesson, however it seems that most authors recognise Rang as the author; the name Ocyroe maculata was used by Rang for a plate depicting Ocyroe tachee)
