Genus Nirvanguina Zhang & Webb, 1996

Compiler and date details

1 July 2011 - Murray J. Fletcher

Introduction

This genus was regarded as being a monotypic endemic of the Australian region with an odd little (4–4.6 mm) species distributed between Papua New Guinea and the Wet Tropics of North Queensland. However, Lin et al. (2014) added a second species from China and noted that an additional undescribed species is known from Thailand. It seems likely therefore that the genus is Oriental with an extension into the Australian region.
