Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

A medium sized, somewhat variable species, with slight differences between specimens in the length of the median pronotal process and in the shape and orientation of the lateral pronotal processes. All are dark brown in colour, with brown suffusion around veins and veins slightly nodulated. Dorsal carina strongly carinate. Setae silvery. First subapical cell may be almost circular. Length (holotype ♂) 6.1 mm (Day 1999).
