Introduction

This genus includes two species, one found in the wet tropics of north Queensland and the other at Barrington Tops on the New South Wales north coast. Both are medium sized, dark brown species. Day (1999) gave the etymology as "Related to Acanthuchus."

Diagnosis

Recognised by the following combination of features: median pronotal process narrow and terminating well before apex of tegmen; pronotal notch strongly developed; subcostal cell widest medially and entirely coriaceous. M and Cu fused basally. Crossveins M–cu1 and M–cu2 absent. Cucullate setae on hind tibiae minute (Day 1999).

Day (1999) also provided a comprehensive description of the genus.
