Paratype(s) AM I.12900-12901 (identified by Whitley as Moolgarda pura in register; specimen = Liza subviridis), Shark Bay, Western Australia; AM (Whitley mentions co-types from Broome, Exmouth Gulf and Onslo, Western Australia, and specimens identified as Liza subviridis and Valamugil buchanani are in AM from Broome, but not clearly marked as Moolgarda pura and it is not clear if any are paratypes).
