Introduction
Tentative identification of specimens from the Bulloo River, QLD as this species by Allen and Jenkins (1999) was recently confirmed by genetic analysis (Adams et al. 2013). The species was listed as Endangered by the IUCN in 2019. It was listed as Vulnerable under the EPBC ACT in 2020.
